Week 0 is too early for certainty. The useful noise is in visits, family reactions, high school coaches returning calls and rival staffs deciding whether the new pitch is real.

Michigan high school coaches: Early response is cautious. Several appreciate the direct role-plan pitch, but nobody is ready to say MSU is back in-state because a new coach won a press conference.
Trench targets: Staff is expected to spend real effort here before the portal opens. The pitch is that early playing time is available, but the development plan has to be more believable than desperation.
Rival framing: Michigan and Notre Dame are expected to sell stability hard. The counter from MSU is honesty: the path is open, the plan is specific, and no one is pretending the rebuild is already complete.
