Latest result	MSU beat Eastern Michigan 35-13 in East Lansing. MSU had 1 turnover. Eastern Michigan had 3.
Game texture	Dominant but uneven. Strong second quarter, awful third quarter, excellent fourth quarter.
Main positive	Cam Edwards looks like the obvious offensive centerpiece. The defensive front and linebacker group destroyed the run.
Main concern	Pass defense allowed 304 yards, and the offense still has stretches where it loses rhythm.
QB situation	Leo Hannan remains the starter. He managed the game well and flashed high-end throws, but the interception is a useful reminder that freshman mistakes are part of the deal.
Player notes	Braylon Collier is emerging. Tre Bell’s slot/trigger role continues to look smart. Jayden Savoury was more involved but still not explosive. Fredrick Moore had a rough day.
Press conference canon	Mansour’s postgame pressers are becoming a weekly national/media storyline. He gives detail, protects players, and frames mistakes without dodging them.
Recruiting	Dalton Rambo and Kasey Heggie have MSU in their top three and are expected to visit Week 4 vs Nebraska. Alexander Shade, Gage Everett, Matt McCadam, Shariff Maginn and George Minor have MSU in their top five. MSU is now in the mix for five-star TE Oscar Lopez, a Mexico-born Kentucky prep prospect with basketball bloodlines, and Nick is making a unique pitch to Flint four-star WR Marquis Floyd as a potential free safety.
Internal tension	Joe Rossi’s private belief that the defensive success is his more than Mansour’s remains internal canon only. It is not public reporting yet.
National context	Ohio State made a statement at Texas. Oklahoma handled Michigan. Miami is 2-0 and looks terrifying. Notre Dame beat Rice to steady itself. Illinois is 0-2 after losing to Duke.
